In this 2 Day workshop with award winning watercolor artist, Maggie McCarthy, she will focus on how to create paintings thatshow emotion and mystery!

Learn elements of city scapes such as how to illustrate distance, light source, movement and activity, figures, and just enough about perspective to make it all work! We will be working from photo reference which will be provided. Learning will be enhanced by demonstration, one-on-one critique, as well as group discussion. This is a beginning class for anyone who is interested in the art of making journals. We will be making two pamphlet-style journals and then we will be decorating the covers. A variety of decorating materials will be provided for you to use. Kathy Fritz, a local book artist,will help you learn the skills you need to make decorative journals for yourself or for gifts. Kathy's work has been featured in these magazines:Cloth Paper Scissors, Uppercase and Pages.

November 3 or 4 or 11
In this workshop you will make 3 4"x4" glass ornaments using glass, epoxy, wire and other interesting objects and learn how to cut glass. You don't have to be an artist, you ust want to learn something new and have fun! If you have taken the class before, you can then learn to make an 8" x 10" glass piece.
