Learn the basics of working with clay for the beginner student or continue your clay skills! Students will learn handbuilding and wheel during this 7 week class. Some of the projects include making a mug, container, plate and much more! You will purchase the clay tools(Amazon) and clay(25 lbs for $25 from me), but glazing, firing, and instruction will be included. This workshop is off site, but close to the gallery. COLOR YOUR WORLD WITH CYNTHIA BORUM

Have you ever dreamed of creating beautiful, vibrant, colorful art? Have you dabbled with painting in the past and want to get back into the creative process? Are you a beginner or intermediate artist desiring to create paintings that add light and life to your surroundings? Then join award winning and Best of Missouri Hands artist Cynthia Borum for five classes on Tuesday. Morning and evening classes available.
You will receive instruction on techniques to get you started and/or take your art to the next level. This class will include the application of Collage (adding pictures, poems, music etc. to your painting) mark making, acrylic paints and if you choose, oil paints. Emphasis will be on color and creativity along with technique. You will complete one or more paintings utilizing bold colors and unique backgrounds to enhance your subject matter.
When: September 2 - 30

Instruction will be given through teacher demonstration and modeling with emphasis in the direction of each student’s level
of ability. Instruction will emphasize both wet
on wet and wet on dry techniques, as well as,
use of negative painting and mingling of colors.

Going the Distance with Lee Copen

Join award winning artist, Lee Copen for an oil/acrylic landscape painting workshop. You will learn to create a wonderful sense of depth and light by applying the principles of atmospheric perspective.
Lee is an accomplished painter, retired art teacher and winner of many plein aire events. She is also a resident artist in MAOM, who resides in Mountain View, Mo. We are thrilled to have her offer this amazing workshop.
